Project Information
Click the DOWNLOAD button below for the rubric on the presentation for this project in which I will be grading you on.
1. When presenting, speak slowly, clearly, and loudly!
2. All 4 topics of interest must be explained along with your main topic. Please do not read off of your poster board! This can put students to sleep (including myself).
3. When presenting make sure to face your audience (your classmates and I). When presenting you shouldn't have your hands in your pockets or fiddle with them which are usually done when one is nervous..Body language is important when presenting.
4. If you have graphics on your posterboards and they are relating to your 4 points of interest, it would be helpful to address them while presenting.
Presentation Information
Below are instructions for your topic.
Click the DOWNLOAD button below for the rubric for this topic in which I will be grading you on.
1. Choose a topic relating to Japanese culture.
a. Make sure the topic is not too broad or vague (exp. Japanese literature, Japanese food)
b. If you want to choose Japanese Food, please choose two or four that have a theme and focus on those.
2. Find 4 topics of interest on your topic. (exp. If your topic is the cherry blossom festival, choose 4 things to talk about it such as its Origins, How it's Celebrated, Past and Current comparisons, What People Wear to the Festival..)
3. Have a posterboard and present your findings (on the four topics of interest) on your posterboard. Be creative! Use graphics, color, markers, color pencils...Go wild. But make sure your posterboard is attractive and not look like a Crayola box melted over it...
a. Please use the whole poster board! I don't want you to print out really huge text and tape it all over the posterboard, but use your space wisely. There should be lots of graphics that you can find or create yourself for your poster board.
b. Make sure the text or images are large enough to be seen from afar (so when you present students can actually see the pictures you're talking about).
4.Make sure to label your 4 points of interests!
5. At least have one source that you used ony our posterboard. More is encouraged.
6. You will be presenting your poster board/topic.
